Corduroy Wednesday was forged within the depths of the Communications
Department at the University of Memphis. As fate would have it one day
in TV Production class, Erik Morrison, Edward Valibus Phillips, and Benjamin
Rednour sat
together on a couch. Upon instruction from hot shot Professor Barbara
Cook Overton to find a group to make their projects, the three
choose each other since it didn’t require getting up. Add in a plucky
little Graduate Assistant named Gretchen Cook and a fellow that walks
into the class three weeks later for the first time ever and act like
it’s no big deal (Louis Griffith) and the base for Corduroy Wednesday
was born.
